A little recap:
• Housing starts are up 10% from one year ago
• Building permits are up 19% from one year ago
• Housing completions up 4% from one year ago

Moving and selling is on the rise too. Low interest rates make it easier for first time home buyers in San Diego to qualify for a loan, or for those who have a home can rent their primary residence while buying another home. In regards to new construction I have also noticed that some of the more stagnant areas back from 2005-06 are now moving dirt and building more. Thanks for the update. It is reassuring, but I think we have another couple of years to go before the market finally resets.
